These photographs were made in the Hollywood Hills in October 2019.
I was entranced by the natural shapes of the small branches and leaves and how they were transformed from being real to ethereal spirits projected as shadows on the bright canvas of the stucco wall.
I felt compelled to be with these spirits and show them as I was seeing and feeling them.
This compulsion lies at the heart of all I photograph.
Each element is thematic yet unique,
Like all of nature.
And ourselves.
